Beton Bohr Technik is a professional team for drilling, cutting and demolishing concrete based in Mostar. Since our foundation, we have strived to combine top-notch equipment with dedicated work. We use modern diamond drilling and cutting technology: precision diamond drills, wall and floor saws, hydraulic and electric demolition machines, as well as special water and dust vacuum cleaners. Such equipment allows us to perform work without dust, excessive noise and vibrations, even in sensitive environments such as residential buildings in use or commercial premises that must remain clean.

Diamond drilling and concrete cutting

Diamond drilling and cutting of concrete enables precise and efficient cutting of openings in concrete structures – without cracks, dust and excessive noise. We use state-of-the-art equipment with diamond tools to cut openings for doors, windows, elevators, installations or ventilation in reinforced concrete. Drilling with diamond core bits is performed without vibrations and with water cooling, which means that we do not damage the surrounding structure and work almost without dust. Our experienced team can drill holes of various diameters (from 8 mm to 1200 mm) in walls, slabs and floors, depending on the needs of the project. The result is clean and precise cuts that shorten the duration of further construction work and reduce the cost of rehabilitation.

Controlled demolition of buildings

When it is necessary to remove concrete or masonry structures in a safe and controlled manner, we offer a controlled demolition service. For special demolitions in confined spaces or densely populated areas, we use an electric robotic excavator (remotely controlled demolition robot). This advanced equipment allows for the demolition of walls, slabs and other elements without high-intensity vibrations and without the emission of harmful gases, which is ideal for working in confined spaces or buildings that are occupied at the same time. Our approach to controlled demolition involves detailed planning – first we assess the statics of the building, then we define the demolition steps to protect the surrounding structure. Specialized tools and machines (hydraulic shears, diamond wires for cutting larger pieces of concrete, demolition robots) allow us to carry out each demolition project precisely, quickly and with maximum safety measures.

Testing and assessment of statics

Whether you are planning a renovation, removing part of the structure or adding new openings, static testing and assessment is a key service for the safety of your facility. Our team works with experienced structural engineers (certified engineers) who thoroughly analyze the structure of the facility before work begins. We review the existing condition of the load-bearing elements, create load calculations and check whether the planned interventions (such as drilling or cutting concrete) can affect stability. If necessary, we conduct strength tests of the concrete and reinforcement to have precise data. Based on all these insights, the client receives an expert assessment that includes recommendations and measures for the safe execution of the work. This service ensures that any drilling, cutting or demolition is carried out without endangering the structure, while respecting building regulations and standards. After the static testing, we can also offer a plan for strengthening the structure if necessary (e.g. if a larger opening is being made in a load-bearing wall).

Static reinforcements

When major modifications are carried out on a building or weakened load-bearing elements are discovered, we offer solutions for static reinforcement of the structure. Our goal is for your building to maintain or increase its load-bearing capacity and safety, even after significant interventions.

Each reinforcement project begins with a professional analysis (related to static testing) and planning of measures. During the work, we use proven materials and technologies, adhering to European construction standards. Our static reinforcements will ensure that the facility functions safely even after modifications, even in the event of increased loads.

Depending on the situation, we use different reinforcement methods:

  • Reinforcement with metal structures – Installation of steel profiles, beams or frames that take up the load. This is suitable when making new openings (e.g. installing a steel frame around a new passage to replace removed concrete) or repairing damaged load-bearing columns and beams. Steel beams and anchors are precisely installed to give the structure additional strength.
  • Carbon fiber reinforcement – The application of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) strips and lamellas that are bonded to existing concrete or masonry. Carbon strips have exceptional tensile strength and minimal weight, making them ideal for strengthening slabs, beams or walls without adding significant load to the structure.
  • Concrete rehabilitation and additional reinforcement – In cases where part of the structure is damaged, we can remove the damaged concrete and replace it with new, with the installation of additional reinforcement. The restored element will be ready to safely carry the intended load.
